Static Mood Zones

Table Of Contents

Static mood zones do not normally change within a scene and are distributed globally. They are intended to be defined during level design.

What is the workflow? #

  1. Create a MoodZone object. Create/Musician/MoodZoneObject
  2. Set the MoodZoneObject to the Musician Pitch.
  3. Then select the object.

The Mood Zone Editor is displayed in the Inspector for the selected object. In this state, the Mood Zone can be edited. The Mood Vector is the current mood that is applied.

The Mood Zones show the zones that have already been created with the respective partials.
A Mood Zone groups together almost identical partials with the same mood vector.
The Editor Settings provide the tools for drawing the Mood Zones into the scene.

The Zone Size can be changed if no Mood Zone exists yet. Afterwards, they will all have the same size.

The Raycast Mask calculates at which colliders the Mood Zone will be created. In other words, terrain to draw them directly onto the terrain.

The Brush Size specifies the size of the brush used to draw the Mood Zone onto the terrain.

Paint/Erase: Specify whether zones should be painted or existing ones erase
